Bombardier Challenger 300/G-LEAZ
1.1.14
RMD Air was appointed to carry out the complete interior refurbishment and exterior livery design for this newly acquired aircraft.
The design was to reflect the needs of the new owner’s private use but also incorporating the requirement to charter the aircraft.
RMD created a calm, sophisticated and understated interior, focusing on the quality of the detailing and material selection with an eye to the practical requirement of the aircraft being chartered. We also brought together for the client all the required contractors and managed the fabrication and installation process for both the interior and exterior including design modifications (STC`s), burn tests, certification and commissioning. The work was carried out at Biggin Hill with installation by JETS Aviation and interior fabrication by Farnborough Aircraft Interiors.
The end result was extremely successful with G-LEAZ becoming a favourite with charter clients at Luton’s FBO.
The successful fabrication and installation program was achieved with only 18 weeks down time for the aircraft and a 12 week design period prior to this.
